A peaceful, nicely fitted out lodge set in the beautiful Forest of Bowland. Very quiet but just what we expected and hoped for. Definitely would come back!

Sarah & Phil were absolutely delightful hosts, they really couldn't do any more for us! The lodge itself was divine, just a lovely, peaceful area with plenty of wildlife and walks to do. We definitely recommend cracking open the board games and settling into the toasty lodge in the evenings. We'll definitely be returning at some point!

What an absolute treat! Sarah's stylish and chic lodge is just the ticket if you need the space and surroundings to unwind and shake off the hustle and bustle of the week. As the weekend unfolded I became more and more relaxed, thanks to the gorgeous views and cosy surrounding, in particular the fabulous wood burner. I can't wait to return!

I am actually hesitant to leave such a blowing review, because that means that more of you will want to go to this place, and we would much prefer to keep it to ourselves! A real gemma. Everything about the place was first class and sarah was the most responsive and helpful host. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

A perfect break - only an hour from Manchester but Sarah's place is wholly green and serene 😊

We loved this stay, I don’t think the pictures do it justice! It’s so cosy and even though it rained most the weekend, we didn’t actually mind because the lodge was quite large so didn’t feel like we were cooped up. It definitely has a luxurious feel to it as well, the bathroom being nicer than any other airbnb or hotel we’ve stayed in. We definitely will be back in Summer to explore the beautiful surroundings. The lodge had everything we could have needed, and was only a short drive from Clitheroe which really is a bustling little place with quite a bit going on! We hope to be back soon and say hi to the alpacas and chickens again, thank you for a peaceful and perfect stay.

Sarah’s lodge was lovely! Warm and cosy with the decor and the log burner. We were delighted to spend our holiday in the Peak District in the lodge, honestly couldn’t fault it. Surrounded by beautiful views and very quiet. We did do some cooking and we also went out for pub food, we didn’t struggle at all in finding something to eat. All in all it was amazing and Sarah is a grand host!

Would highly recommend! We enjoyed being left completely to ourselves but appreciated Sarah's quick response time when we needed more fire lighters. Place felt secluded, was very clean and provided everything we needed. Lovely view of hills and alpacas.

This is a beautiful cabin with lovely comfortable decor and all you could need for a few days away from it all. Lighting is warml for the hygge effect, and the log burner makes the place cosy super quick. It is in an out of the way spot but there is a garden centre nearby with a wonderful cafe. it was a great place to retreat from the hustle of life.

We had a lovely stay at Bamber Lodge with our labrador over New Year's Eve. A quiet and relaxing spot to recharge the batteries. Excellent access to Lancashire and North Yorkshire for walks and exploring. Would come again.

Amazing place for a getaway, little but beautiful and well equipped. We've stayed here twice now as it was such a relaxing break the first time we came that we had to come back. This time eeven managed to get clear skies and it really is a great spot for stargazing! Highly recommend, also if you have a pooch it's all enclosed so nice and safe for them 🙂

What a lovely cozy cabin this is. A perfect retreat to escape to. Lavishly equiped. Such a comfy huge bed, we slept so well. We visited at the end of January, so didn't get the opportunity to sit outside or watch for wildlife, but the Alpacas were keeping an eye on us from the field nearby.

We recently stayed at Bamber’s Lodge and had a really lovely time. It’s in a really peaceful, picturesque setting and there are numerous walks across the local countryside to be had. The lodge is really comfortable and had all the amenities that you could need for time away from home. The wood burning stove was an absolute godsend in the cold and the lodge was soon really cosy. Everything in the lodge has been finished to a high spec including the kitchen which is fully equipped and the bathroom. Nice seating area outside too for when the weather warms up. I highly recommend this fabulous self contained lodge to anyone seeking some R&R.
